ASUC Student Union
The ASUC Student Union provides high quality services and programs that foster experiential learning opportunities, enhance the student experience, and ensure a sustainable organization. They include Event Services at the Student Union, ASUC Auxiliary Facility Administration, and the Berkeley Art Studio.
Career Center
The Career Center prepares undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni to make informed decisions about their futures by providing comprehensive resources, programs, and counseling on career development, internships, employment, and graduate school. The Career Center fulfills its mission through a dedication to providing all students 1) Career Clarity — the opportunity to identify their career direction; 2) Career Competitiveness — opportunities to enhance their marketability via real world experiences; 3) Career Connections — opportunities to engage with alumni and employers
Center for Student Conduct
The Center for Student Conduct contributes to the holistic development of students by administering the Code of Student Conduct through equitable practices that promote education, foster a sense of accountability, and encourage community responsibility and mutual respect.
Center for Support and Intervention
The Center for Support and Intervention addresses prevention and intervention for harm and violence on campus, and provides support to students experiencing or causing distress in the campus community. CSI provides direct training to students and staff on bystander intervention strategies, as well as limited threat assessment, consultation, collaboration, and intervention with and for students, faculty, staff, and other campus and community colleagues. LEAD Center
The Leadership, Engagement, Advising, and Development (LEAD) Center is the University of California, Berkeley’s hub for leadership advising, programs, and initiatives. We support student organizations, undergraduate and graduate student government, fraternities and sororities, Cal Debate, and campuswide leadership programs.
New Student Services
New Student Services (NSS) is all about welcoming new undergraduates to Berkeley. We create and implement programs and publications that are designed for students to ease the transition into life at Cal. We rely heavily on the Cal students who help run our programs and the collaboration and support of campus academic and service units.
Public Service Center
The UC Berkeley Public Service Center connects people through shared learning and collaborative action for social justice. The Center is guided by five core values that shape our approach to public service at UC Berkeley: experiential & reflective learning, collaboration & commitment, community wisdom, student agency, and equity & social justice.
Residential Life
Residential Life creates and supports programs and initiatives designed to emphasize the importance of community and academic development within our housing communities. Creating a living/learning experience, each of the varied programs strengthen student residents’ personal development, intellectual growth, and ability to develop lifelong relationships. In Residential Life family communities, children also receive academic and developmental support.
Recreational Sports
The Department of Recreational Sports (Rec Sports) is a campus leader and educator, inspiring the entire university community to engage in an active and healthy lifestyle that fosters well-being and a sense of community. Rec Sports offers dynamic and inclusive programming, experiential education, leadership development, cross-unit collaboration, and skill training for building lifelong healthy habits.
Student Environmental Resource Center
The Student Environmental Resource Center at UC Berkeley cultivates a collaborative space to strengthen the collective effectiveness of the sustainability community, and provides resources for students to actualize their visions of a more equitable, socially just, and resilient future. SERC is also the home of The Green Initiative Fund, which provides grants for projects that improve and support campus sustainability efforts.
Student Legal Services
The Attorney for Students advises currently registered Cal students regarding their legal questions, rights, and obligations. A student legal consultation might include (but is not limited to) one of the following examples: a landlord-tenant dispute, a citation for a criminal infraction or misdemeanor, filing an action in California Small Claims Court, questions related to credit card debt and/or collection actions, issues arising from a car accident or auto insurance, or questions about family law.
